St. Patrick's Day Parade will turn downtown Springfield green

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The city’s 32nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday starts at 2 p.m. on Commercial Street at Benton Avenue.  The celebration starts at noon with food booths and vendors at the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge on Commercial.   The Irish Pet Contest is at 12:30.

The parade goes west on Commercial and then south on Boonville Avenue through Park Central Square and disbands around 4 p.m. on South Avenue at Elm Street.  An awards ceremony follows afterwards at Patton Alley Pub.
