ky3 almanacGood morning!  Skies cleared quickly last night and temperatures tanked into the 20s and low 30s.  The good news is that we'll see plenty of sunshine today and highs will be back to either side of 60.  A northeast wind will be fairly tame (10-15 mph) compared to recent days.  Saturday will be a nice day with starting temps in the lower 30s for most and a high in the lower 60s.  A storm currently in Arizona will kick into the plains beginning Saturday morning, and a large shield of rain and imbedded thunderstorms will move into the Ozarks Saturday night into Sunday.  For many locations this round of rain will be heavier than what came through Thursday.  That system will quickly move northeast Sunday night and Monday, setting up a very spring-like week over the US.  The jet stream will retreat into southern Canada and warm air will flood much of the country.  Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s all week, with 80 a potential particularly on Tuesday. Gulf moisture will be relatively plentiful by the middle and end of the week, and we could see some scattered showers or storms beginning Wednesday.
