Missouri residents who want to vote in the April 3 election must register by 5pm Wednesday, March 7th. The April election is dominated by municipal and school board elections as well as money and other issues.
Greene County Clerk Richard Struckoff says those who need to register to vote can do so at schools, libraries, city halls and the courthouse. Those who do not live in Greene County need to check with their own county clerk on ways to register. Registering to vote requires a driver license or other acceptable form of identification.
In Greene County, the April 3 ballot includes a 1/8 cent countywide sales tax proposal for law enforcement. Also on the ballot will be candidate races or issues in eight cities, eight school districts and four fire protection districts. Greene County has a sample ballot posted on its website.
