SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- An armed man walked into a bank at 2735 W. Chestnut Expressway and got away with cash on Friday afternoon. Bank employees said the man had a black semi-automatic handgun.
Police say witnesses describe the robber as white, possibly in his late 20s to mid 30s, and 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, with average build. He wore a black mesh mask over his face, a grayish or black hoodie, blue jeans, black gloves, work boots and round black sunglasses. He left the Great Southern Bank with the case in a trash bag and left northbouind on foot across the railroad tracks and into the neighborhood.
