STOCKTON, Mo. -- Gov. Jay Nixon appointed the long-time executive director of the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce, Charlotte Haden, as the new Cedar County public administrator. The position became vacant after Janice Cagle resigned.
Haden, a Democrat, has served as the executive director for the Chamber since 2006 and also held that position from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she was the community bank president at Great Southern Bank. A family farmer, Haden has been on the Stockton school board for the past 12 years.
County public administrators take care of the financial affairs and estates of incapacitated or deceased persons who have no legal guardian or conservator.
