REPUBLIC, Mo. -- The Marshfield Blue Jays dominated every facet of the game on their way to a 69-37 win over Buffalo in the Class 4 District 11 Basketball Tournament at Republic Tuesday night,

Lawfton Summers, Utah Findley, and Blayne Armstrong all had great games for the Blue Jays as they advanced to the semifinals of the district tournament on Thursday night.  Marshfield opened the game strong and set the tone early, as the Blue Jays led 14-5 after the first quarter of play.  The Blue Jays would add to their lead in the second quarter as well, as Marshfield outscored Buffalo 20-9 to take a 34-14 halftime lead.

The deficit would only get worse for the visitors from Dallas County in the third quarter, as Marshfield again scored 20 points (versus only 14 third quarter points from the Bison) to take a commanding 54-28 lead after three quarters of play.

Jared Greenlee added some nice baskets for the Blue Jays throughout the night, as he ran an effective offense from the point guard position and distributed the ball effectively to Utah Findley, Lawfton Summers, and Blayne Armstrong.

Marshfield would sit most of their starters in the fourth quarter, yet the Jays still managed to outscore Buffalo 15-9 to coast to a dominating 69-37 victory.

Blayne Armstrong scored 24 to lead Marshfield, Lawfton Summers scored 15, and Utah Findley added 12.  For Buffalo, Calvin Dryer scored 11 and Austin Davis added 10.

Marshfield advanced to play against recent University of Missouri football recruit Dorial Green-Beckham and the second seeded Hillcrest Hornets at 7:30 p.m. in the district semifinals Thursday.
