KY3 recognized for Ozarks Honor Flight program

SPRINGFIELD -- The Ozarks Honor Flight is a localized effort that allows World War II veterans to see their national monument in Washington D.C.  Sunday, KY3 was recognized in a special ceremony for it's efforts with the program.

The Marine Corps League presented anchor Steve Grant and KY3 community relations director, Jamie Dopp, with a pair of flags that have flown at the Iwo Jima memorial in Washington, D.C. as a token of thanks for their hard work on the Ozarks Honor Flight.

Sunday marks the 67th anniversary of the Iwo Jima invasion.

The next Ozarks Honor Flight will be on April 17th.
