Rainy Beginning to the Weekend

a large slow moving storm system is slowly crossing Oklahoma this evening.  Showers and a few thundershowers have formed east of the main storm.  The showers will move northeast tonight into the Ozarks.  A few spots west and north of Springfield could see rainfall amounts total more than one inch.  Winds will also be a factor helping to drive the rain.  Temperatures tonight may actually climb into the low 50s.  The warm moist air will help to form very dense fog so motorists should use caution.

Showery Weekend

Moisture wrapping around the slow moving storm could help to produce a few scattered showers or drizzle on Saturday and again early Sunday.  Temperatures on Saturday will level off in the lower 50s in Missouri but could climb to the low 60s in Arkansas.  readings will drop slightly during the afternoon when the winds become westerly.

Next Week

Much of next week looks dry with seasonal temperatures.  There is a hint that we may see one day of cold weather as a shot of Arctic air gives us a glancing blow Wednesday.
