Missouri Tigers: Mizzou hosting Kansas for final time in Columbia Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri vs. Kansas border war basketball showdown is about to peak.

The No. 4 Tigers (20-2, 7-2) will welcome the No. 8 Jayhawks (18-4, 8-1) to Mizzou Arena for a final time as Big 12 Conference rivals.   This will be the 266th meeting.  Tip-off is at 8:00 p.m. on ESPN.

News and Notes:

*Game Day Atmosphere: ESPN's Game Day will broadcast live from Mizzou Arena Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The doors open at 7:00 a.m.

*Kansas Dominance: Kansas holds a 171-94 all-time record against Missouri, including the past five meetings.   Zaire Taylor's game-winning shot in 2009 gave the Tigers a 62-60 win over the Jayhawks in Columbia.

*20-Game Benchmark: Mizzou has won 20 games for the fourth-consecutive season.  That's happened only three other times in school history.

*Chant Correctly:  Mizzou brass want to remind fans the chant is M-I-Z-Z-O-U.  Top football signee, Springfield Hillcrest's Dorial Green-Beckham is expected to attend the game.
