STILLWATER, Okla. - Mizzou's No. 2 ranking may not last longer than a week.
Freshman Le'Bryan Nash scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-10, 3-4) to a 79-72 victory over the No. 2 Missouri Tigers (18-2, 5-2). The upset excited the OSU student section, rushing the floor.
"Obviously, it was a tough loss for us," said Missouri Head Coach Frank Haith. "We allowed Oklahoma State to dictate the tempo of the game in how they were running thier offense, and I thought too many loose balls."
The Tigers opened the second-half with a 19-10 run to erase a 37-36 halftime deficit. The lead did not last long. Nash led the Cowboys comeback with a 17-4 run. Oklahoma State took the lead back with 3:23 to go in the game.
