OXFORD, Miss. - Mike Anderson's "Fastest 40 Minutes" has the attention of the Southeastern Conference.  Now, will it continue?

The Arkansas Razorbacks (12-3, 1-0) will go on the road Wednesday night to play the Ole Miss Rebel (10-5, 0-1).   The Hogs raced out to a big lead Saturday night, then held on to beat Mississippi State in the SEC opener at Bud Walton Arena 98-88.

News and Notes:

*Outstanding Freshman Play:  Arkansas' BJ Young earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors after his 24 point performance against Mississippi State.  The St. Louis native has 11 double-digit efforts this season.

*Pressure-Cooker:  The "Fastest 40 Minutes" has picked up its intensity in its last seven games, all victories.  The Hogs have forced 124 turnovers, while allowing just 67 assists.

*Missing Rebels: Ole Miss is without two of its leading scorers in the non-conference season.  Head Coach Andy Kennedy dismissed Dundrecous Nelson from the team last week.  Nelson averaged 11.6 points per game.  Also, Murphy Holloway remains sidelined with a high left ankle sprain.

*Home Cooking:  Arkansas is 12-0 at Bud Walton Arena.  Arkansas is 0-3 away from home, suffering losses at Oklahoma, Connecticut, and in Little Rock against Houston.

Coach Anderson Said This:

"It's a game we're looking forward to find out even more about our young basketball team," said Anderson.  "When you play at home you got that other edge, when you talk about that adrenaline, fan support.  We'll find out a little more about ourselves when we hit the road to play in Oxford."

Tip-off is at 7:05 p.m. tonight on the SEC Network.
