An impressive cold front put a temporary end to our early spring-like weather last night. Highs today were in the 40s with a gusty northwest wind. Another shot of upper energy will dive southeast over the Midwest and Ohio Valley on Monday, reinforcing the cold air. We’ll see highs mostly in the 30s Monday with a continued gusty northwest wind. High pressure will settle directly overhead on Tuesday morning, bringing temperatures down into the middle and upper teens for most of the Ozarks. A south wind will return on Tuesday and with the help of dry air and sunshine we’ll warm fairly quickly to the middle 40s. From there the news gets better, as highs will spike into the 60s again by late week. Another cold front will slide through Friday night or Saturday and cool us off. Beyond that models diverge with how to handle an upper low expected to drop into Texas, so it’s not clear whether we’ll get any moisture.
