Branson Aldermen voted last night to take over ownership of the Factory Merchants Mall

BRANSON, Mo. -- Simon properties will have six months to help businesses in the Factory Merchants Mall find new locations.  Branson Aldermen voted last night to take over ownership.  Simon had a lease contract with the city through 2021.  Branson will receive 300-thousand dollars at closing to help makeup for loss of lease payments and sales taxes.  Public hearings on the future of the property will be held early next year.
