Ballots are now available for those people who won't be able to make it to a polling place for the 2012 Missouri Presidential Primary.
The primary is on February 7. Absentee ballots can be filled out at your local county clerk's office.
Missouri law says you must have a legal reason to vote with an absentee ballot, such as being incapacitated or being out of your voting jurisdiction at the time of an election. Because this is a Presidential primary, a voter can choose one of four party ballots--Democratic, Republican, Libertarian or Constitution.
In Springfield and Greene County, you can vote absentee at Room 113 on first floor of the historic Greene County Courthouse, 940 Boonville, between 8 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the day before the election. Contact Greene County Clerk Richard Struckhoff’s office at 868-4060 for questions about voting on an absentee ballot.
