SHREVEPORT, La. - The Missouri Tigers mascot "Truman" had an oops moment before Monday's Independence Bowl that could not escape Twitter and Facebook.
The mascot accidentally dropped the bowl game trophy before the game. The glass-portion of it smashed into pieces. A picture by @CarolJWalter on Twitter quickly circulated the internet, showing "Truman" shrugging when asked if it was his fault.
"Can I borrow some receiver gloves," said Truman on Twitter. "My paws were a little wet from the rain this morning."
Mizzou beat North Carolina 41-24, receiving a new Independence Bowl trophy.
