ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Life after Albert Pujols.
The St. Cardinals and slugger Carlos Beltran have agreed to a two year deal, reportedly worth $26 million. He should help ease the void left by Albert Pujols' departure to the Los Angeles Angels.
The 34-year-old Beltran hit .300 with 22 home runs, 84 RBIs and a .385 on-base percentage for the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants this year. He won the American League's Rookie of the Year with the Kansas City Royals in 1999.
