Springfield chocolatier, Elle Feldman appeared on Ozarks Today with some delicious ways to greet your guests this holiday season. She showed KY3's Maria Neider how to set an elegant "winter wonderland" table that will sparkle and make mouths water.
The edible items include a stunning Truffle Snowflake Cake as the centerpiece and a glitter dusted breadstick napkin ring. To personalize place settings, Elle recommends putting beautifully written namecards on plates with individually wrapped sweets. Guests can also take home boxes of brownies, marshmallows or truffles as party favors.
Elle's Patisserie is located in the historic Pickwick neighborhood. She is still taking Christmas orders for her signature "Truffle Snowflakes," at a cost of $35. To place an order call (417) 832-2171.
If you'd like to bake your own "Breadstick Napkin Rings," the recipe is below:
Glitter Dusted Breadstick Napkin Rings
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 1 roll of Pillsbury breadstick dough. Cut each strip of dough lengthwise down middle. Wrap strips of dough around piece of foil (shaped like a cylinder). Use finger to pat dough with edible glitter. Bake 7-12 minutes. Watch closely. Remove from oven when slightly browned and let cool before sliding bread ring off aluminum foil. The edible "Disco Dust" can be purchased at local retailers, including June's Cakery in Springfield.
