Three organizations in Springfield certified Hometown Ready

The Hometown Ready program was created to help businesses and organizations get prepared for major disasters.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Three Springfield organizations are ready for whatever crisis comes their way.  The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management has certified Baptist Bible College, Dunrite Welding & Fabrications, and the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners as being disaster ready.

The Springfield- Greene County Office of Emergency Management says the businesses are the first to receive the Hometown Ready certification.

The Hometown Ready program was created to help businesses and organizations get prepared for major disasters.
