JOPLIN, Mo. - It was a somber scene at the campus of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, tonight.

Over a hundred students, faculty and staff lit candles and stood in silence to remember Diondre and Michael.

Thoughts and prayers also went out to Jeremy Johnson of Harrison, Arkansas and Patrick Holt of Rogers, Arkansas who are being treated in area hospitals, tonight.

Many on campus feel that it was not only a loss of fellow students, but members of their own family.

"Anytime a tragedy such as this happens you immediately think of the many people who are grieving today, to the football teammates, the fellow athletes, family and friends we offer our heart felt condolences and prayers," said Missour Southern Athletics Director Jared Bruggeman.

"They were young men of strong character and great work ethic, you know, I'll always remember those qualities about them," said former Missouri Southern Head Football Coach Bart Tatum. "It's a tragedy we're losing them so young."
