A car hitting light pole causes power outage in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD -- A car accident early Sunday morning is being blamed for a power outage in Springfield.

A vehicle struck a light pole around 4:45am and knocked out electricity along Glenstone Avenue-- from Cherry Street to Sunset Avenue.

No word on how many customers were effected by the outage.
 
There were only minor injuries from the accident.
