FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The "Fastest 40 Minutes" had a successful debut at Bud Walton Arena.
Marshawn Powell scored 19 points to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 83-63 victory over the University of South Carolina-Upstate. One-time Nolan Richardson assistant Mike Anderson picked up his first regular-season win as Razorbacks head coach.
Arkansas raced-out to a 21-5 lead in the first half. The Hogs never led by fewer than double-digits in the second-half.
The Razorbacks shot 52-percent from the field. The uptempo style forced 19 turnovers.
Arkansas returns to Bud Walton Arena Wednesday night to play Oakland. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.
