SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The driver of a 2005 Mercedes convertible came to a sloppy stop in wet concrete on Friday afternoon. Just after 3 p.m. in heavy traffic. the driver was trying to turn into a contruction company along Campbell Avenue just in front of the new Academy Sports store.
The man from Branson did not realize the concrete was still wet. The driver was not hurt and his car was towed out.
This is the second time in two years a car was driven into concrete at an area road construction project. In 2009. a driver did the same thing when the diverging diamond was being built on Kansas Expressway at Interstate 44.
