JOPLIN, Mo--  The construction is almost done for the 'Seven Homes in Seven Days' project in Joplin.  People with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, say they are right on schedule.

Volunteers say every hour something changes on the block.

There's no doubt this is a huge project, but leaders are confident this will all be done by Wednesday.  Crews say they are about 80 percent done with construction.  This leaves Monday and Tuesday to get the inside of the homes ready for the big reveal.  Thousands of volunteers are working around the clock to make sure this project gets done on time.

The show requested for ten thousand volunteers.  People were turned away, because so many showed up to help.

While you can see devastation all around these homes, volunteers say these houses mean a fresh start.

"I think this just gives a step to where I think the whole neighborhood is going to grow from here.  Because it gives the nice push of, hey we are back.  The big thing is we are back and it's going to be nice," said volunteer Richard Vance.

The show is scheduled to air on January 20th.  These homes were made possible by donations.
