SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Greene County sheriff's deputies responded to 3381 S. Farm Road 135, Apt A, for a report of a man being the victim of a gunshot. It was reported to deputies that a man in a vehicle drove by and shot the victim. The victim was treated and released from a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies determined this was not a drive-by shooting. Deputies are investigating what is suspected to be a self-inflicted gunshot and a false police report.
Deputies didn't arrest anyone but will send information to prosecutors for review and the potential filing of criminal charges.
