Hillcrest's Dorial Green-Beckham close to breaking national high school football record

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Hillcrest High School's Dorial Green-Beckham is close to catching a national high school football record.

The country's top rated receiver is only 369 yards away from breaking Abram Booty's career record for receiving yards at 5,867.  Hillcrest's has at least three games left this, possibly more if the 6-1 Hornets advance to the state playoffs.  Booty starred in the early 1990's at high school powerhouse Evangel Christian in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The 6'6" 220 pound Green-Beckham had his best high school game of his career, catching 13 passes for 354 yards and three touchdown's in Hillcrest's 40-19 victory over Rolla last Friday night.  That yardage total sets a new Missouri high school record for most receiving yards in a single game.

Green-Beckham has caught 73 passes for 1,378 yards and 14 touchdowns passes in his senior season.

The top target of several schools remains quiet on his final list of choices.  He visited the University of Arkansas for last Saturday's win against Auburn.
