Strong Storms Possible

A few scattered thunderstorms have developed over the Ozarks this afternoon.  A couple of the stronger storms have produced small hail.  The storms will last into this evening with potentially additional storms forming by morning.  A cold front will race into the Ozarks Wednesday afternoon.  A line of strong to severe storms is possible ahead of the cold front.  The main severe weather threats will be small to moderate hail and gusty winds.  The storms should come to an end by Wednesday evening with sunshine returning right through the weekend.  The next chance for rain will not come until early next week.

Overall Mild Weather But...

Temperatures on Wednesday should reach the low to mid 70s before the storms develop and the cold front arrives.  A few places such as Mountain Home may get to the upper 70s.  Thursday looks windy and chilly with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s.  Conditions warm right back up with mid 70s possible Saturday and near 80 likely Sunday.  The long range forecast hints at a sizable cold outbreak by the middle of next week where highs may only get to the mid 50s.
