Good morning... High clouds are streaming over the central US this morning well ahead of the western US storm. We'll see waves of these over the next few days as that storm moves into the central Rockies and eventually the plains. The atmosphere remains quite dry overall though, and I don't expect any rain until at least Sunday night. Even this appears to be a long shot at this point, though the chance will remain for a couple of days. The wind will increase today and especially Friday, leading to an increased fire danger with recent dry conditions. Highs will remain near 80 through Friday with slightly cooler readings for the weekend into next week.
