SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Greene County Sheriff's Department released the name of the woman shot dead by a deputy on Tuesday night in the Brookline area of Republic. The victim was Tammy Robinette, previously known as Traci Campbell, 46, of Mountain Grove.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The deputy who fired the shot after he says the woman tried to shoot him is on routine paid administrative leave during the investigation.
Online court records show Robinette changed her name last January in Jasper County Circuit Court in Cathage. The records show three lawsuits for breach of contract this year against her in Jasper County by banks. Those lawsuits list her address in Mountain Grove. The records show she divorced in May of this year but no children were involved in the divorce.
