LINN CREEK, Mo. -- A man who barged into a home early Tuesday died after Camden County sheriff's deputies used an electric stun gun to subdue him.  He was Glenn Norman, 46, of Neelyville.

The sheriff's department says it got a call at 4:24 a.m. from a man in the 200 block of Teer Drive in Linn Creek.  The caller said a man knocked at his door and, after the resident opened the door, pushed his way into the home.  That resulted in a struggle between the resident and the intruder.  The resident said the intruder fled from his home and was still in the neighborhood when he called 911.

When deputies arrived, they approached Norman, who was in a yard next door to the home where he barged in.  Deputies said they tried to arrest Norman but he resisted.  That's when they used a Taser electric stun gun to subdue him.

Several minutes later, after Norman was cuffed, he began to have difficulty breathing.  They called an ambulance to the scene, and deputies performed CPR after Norman went into respiratory arrest.  Despite their efforts, Norman died at the scene about 6:30.

The sheriff asked the the Missouri State Highway Patrol to investigate the incident.
