September 30, 2011|by James C. Holmes, KY3 News

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- More people are relying on City Utilities buses to take them around the city.  Nearly 139,000 people rode the bus in August.  That's up more than 15,000 people from the same month last year.

City Utilities posted similar increases over the previous year in May, June and July.  The busiest line was Line 12, which serves the Missouri State University campus, the Medical Mile on South National Avenue, and Battlefield Mall.
