SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Missouri State women's soccer team (2-1-0) will host Big 12 foe Kansas (3-1-0) in Friday's 7:00 p.m. home opener at Plaster Field. The Bears are riding a two-game winning streak after sweeping UT Martin and Vanderbilt last weekend.

"We are all really excited for our first home game," said senior midfielder Tara Bailes. "It's a different atmosphere playing on campus. KU is always a big game; they are always a good competitor."

Rachel Weimer looks to continue her point streak for the Bears. She has tallied at least one point in each of the first three games after recording a goal and an assist over the weekend in Tennessee. She was named MVC Offensive Player of the Week by the league on Tuesday.

Bailes is one of six Bears' senior who will begin their final season at Plaster Field. Logan Bisbee, Christine Cross, Jennifer Hamlin, Jeslynne McGrath and Jessica Teahan make up the remainder of the senior corp.

Following Friday's match, Missouri State will travel to Oklahoma (Sept. 4) and Arkansas (Sept. 6) before returning to Plaster Field next Friday (Sept. 9) vs. Tulsa. All three matches are at 7:00 p.m.
