SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- If you've lived in the Ozarks long enough, you've probably heard or believe Springfield has some of the worst drivers in the country. According to a report just released by Allstate Insurance, however, the Queen City ranks the 13th safest in the nation.
The rankings are based on how many years a typical driver will go without being involved in a wreck. In Springfield, it's 12.2 years.
The safest city is Fort Collins, Colo. The report says Washington, D.C., is the most dangerous.
