A Potentially Severe Start to the Weekend

The bulk of the rainfall stayed well to the south on Thursday.  There were strong storms in central Arkansas and Oklahoma that really sucked most of the moisture in the area and took it south.  Those of you in northwest AR saw plently of rain showers and the rest of us just had mostly cloudy skies for the day.  Afternoon high temperatures remained in the mid 80s.

The next big storm system looks to move into the area Friday afternoon and bring potentially severe weather along with it.  The entire viewing area is under a slight risk from the storm prediction center with the main threats being damaging winds and large hail.  This complex of storms will stay in the area through Saturday afternoon until a cold front moves through which will keep our temperatures down and bring some drier air to the Ozarks.
