FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Diagnosis "oh-no" for Arkansas Razorbacks fans.

Junior Razorbacks running back Knile Davis injured his leg in Thursday night's practice.  The university has yet to release a statement about Davis' status.  Official word is likely to come Friday.

The all-Southeastern Conference selection as a sophomore led Arkansas with 1,322 and 13 touchdowns.  He had earned him preseason recognition for several awards.  The loss of Davis would sting the Hogs depth in the backfield.  Senior Broderick Green is already out for the season with an ACL injury in Spring drills.

"Prayers go out to my RB Knile Davis," Tweeted Green after the injury.  "Pray he stays strong and knows GOD will see him through this difficult time."

St. Louis native Ronnie Wingo entered preseason camp as the backup.  He rushed for 253 yards and a touchdown in his sophomore season.  Junior Dennis Johnson has recovered from a season-ending bowel injury he suffered early last season.

"Deep thoughts about a lot of things," Tweeted Johnson.  "Never take anything for granted."

Arkansas opens the season September 3 against the Missouri State Bears in Fayetteville.
