LEBANON, Mo. -- Law enforcement officers from several agencies arrested 12 people early Monday on suspicion of selling illegal drugs and prescription pills. The arrests starting at 6 a.m. were the result of a six-month undercover investigation.
The Laclede County sheriff says the investigation involved officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, Lebanon Police Department, and Laclede County Sheriff’s Department. The charges against the 12 people involve the distribution and sales of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, presciption pills and a firearm. All the charges are filed in Laclede County. The charges are for acts extending back as far as July 2010.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol helped with the arrests. The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force. Its members include Sheriff's Departments of Laclede, Camden, Crawford, Maries, Gasconade, and Pulaski counties, as well as the Lebanon, Belle, Camdenton and Osage Beach police departments.
