FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach Bobby Petrino has dismissed offensive tackle Anthony Oden, after his second driving while intoxicated arrest in nearly a year.

"Anthony Oden has been dismissed from the Arkansas football team due to a violation of team rules," said Petrino.  "Although he is no longer a member of our team, the athletic department will support him.”

Oden faces charges of DWI and possession of a controlled substance after his most recent arrest Saturday July 9.  Petrino suspended Oden for the season-opener last season after a DWI arrest months earlier.  The Indianapolis, Indiana native did not appear in any games after suffering from the effects of mono shortly after his suspension.

Oden is the younger brother of Portland Trailblazers center Greg Oden.
