ROLLA, Mo--A Missouri S & T grad will be on board when Atlantis blasts off Friday morning.
Mission Specialist, Sandra Magnus is the only woman who will be on the shuttle when it goes into space for the final time.
Her brother, Eric Hall, and his two sons are in Florida for the launch. Hall says he always gets a little nervous, right before liftoff. "With people at the launch site, it's 20 minutes till, people are talking and having a good time. But as the countdown goes down and goes down, when you get to about, I'd say, three to four minutes, quiet," said Hall.
This is Magnus' fourth shuttle flight. Atlantis is scheduled to return to earth July 20th, the 42nd anniversary of the first moon landing.
