ROGERSVILLE, Mo. -- Two Rogersville High School graduates made the final cut in an online fashion competition.  Nora Holt and Celeste Witlow made their own prom dresses with rolls of red, yellow, black and blue duct tape -- 40 rolls to be exact.  They started making the gowns in February for the big spring dance.

The girls really turned heads at their senior prom with their crafty creations, inspired by a Phoenix theme, symbolizing rebirth -- more specifically, they say, the end of high school and what lies ahead in the exciting future.

The girls modeled their handiwork on Ozarks Today on Tuesday and talked about their fashion statement, which included 500 handmade "feathers."

Holt and Witlow are among the top 10 finalists in the online duct tape compeition.  If they win, the teens will have to give up their durable dresses but they'll be paid a pretty penny.  The winner will walk away with $5,000.
