SPRINGFIELD — Jury selection begins Monday in the Rolland Comstock civil trial.
The wrongful death lawsuit was filed by Rolland's daughter, Faith Stocker, against Rolland's ex-wife Alberta. Stocker claims Alberta was directly involved in Rolland's death.
On Friday, Greene County Judge Michael Cordonnier denied a continuance motion by the defense. In that hearing Judge Cordonnier also ruled Alberta Comstock is fit to take the stand despite the defense saying she's ill.
Openings are scheduled for Tuesday.
