CLOSER TO RECORDS THAN AVERAGES
It is going to be a hot weekend. High temperatures will be closer to records than to averages for early June.

The morning is starting near 70 degrees again today. Mostly sunny skies are expected as afternoon temperatures heat up into the low 90s. Surface dew points might be slightly lower today than yesterday so the afternoon heat index should only reach the mid 90s in most locations. Lows tonight will cool into the upper 60s and tomorrow will once again have highs in the low 90s.

EXTREME UV INDEX
Weather conditions are favorable for outdoor activities this weekend, especially those involving water, but the UV Index is at its highest in the extreme category. So remember that the sun's radiation is at its most intense between the hours of 10 A.M and 4 P.M.

DRY EXTENDED FORECAST
Upper level high pressure will continue to dominate the upper level pattern over the center of the county. That pattern will keep the Ozarks mainly dry and very warm through the entire workweek. With high pressure in charge there still does not appear to be any decent chances for rain through the extended forecast.
