SPRINGFIELD, Mo., -- A determined clerk kept a convenience store from being robbed early Saturday morning.
Springfield Police say a man walked into the west Battlefield Kum and Go, made it look as if he had a gun in his sweatshirt, and demanded the clerk to open the register.
The employee refused; the suspect repeated his demand twice more.
As soon as people started coming into the store, the man ran out empty-handed.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
