SPRINGFIELD, Mo.  -- Gold Mountain Communications announced plans to add 140 new jobs to its existing 180 employees, during a Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting celebration.  The jobs will pay about $15 an hour, including commissions.

“Our expansion is due to the aggressive growth of our clients, our outstanding staff, the quality skill set of the labor force in the Springfield area, and the support of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Hank Seevers, president of Gold Mountain Communications. “Without any one of these we would not be in a position to expand so rapidly.”

Gold Mountain Communications is an inbound/outbound call center and service agency with leading national corporate customer service and sales accounts.  The company began operations in downtown Springfield in June 2009 with 15 employees and is expanding to meet the demands of growing travel industry-based clients. The company is also adding $540,000 in new capital investment in the area and leasing additional space adjacent to its current location, 1701 W. Sunshine St., Suite K.

“Gold Mountain Communications is an excellent example of creative leadership and entrepreneurship.  This innovative company has now grown to over 300 employees.  This is an exciting day for our community and this company,” said Tom Babik, president of Springfield Business Development Corporation (SBDC), the economic development arm of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

Gold Mountain Communications plans to begin hiring immediately.   Job seekers interested in applying should contact the company for details.

In addition to Gold Mountain Communication’s expansions, Springfield corporate services sector has seen significant growth in the last year.  Expedia, Chase Card Services and TeleTech, among others, have added over 800 jobs recently.  O’Reilly Auto Parts and Jack Henry & Associates also completed construction on major office facilities to accommodate their growth.
