SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The first Ozarks Honor Flight of the year took off Tuesday morning, shuttling World War II veterans to Washington D.C. The charter flight carries 100 veterans on a full day of saluting their service and sacrifice for our country.
KY3's Steve Grant say he's excited that so many area schools help raise incredible amounts of money every week to make it happen, and he wants to thank them for their interest in our "Greatest Generation."
The next Ozarks Honor Flight is scheduled for the end of May for another 100 veterans.
