GAINESVILLE, Mo. — The Ozark County sheriff's department is investigating a pair of deaths.
First the sheriff says a 52-year-old man was found dead from a single gunshot wound behind a barn on Farm Road 855 near Hammond. They were tipped off by an anonymous phone call. The body was discovered at 4:45 a.m. Saturday. His name has not been released.
The second, a 42-year-old man, was found dead in his home in Howards Ridge just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday. That cause of death has not been released, nor has the victim's name.
