Conservation Dept. believes mountain lion is in Oregon County

March 26, 2011|by KY3 News

ALTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Conservation says a mountain lion is wandering around in Oregon County.  Tests done on a patch of fur that was found just off of Highway M near Rover show it belongs to a mountain lion.

This is the sixth confirmed instance of a mountain lion in Missouri since November.  Tests are now being done on the hair sample to try to figure out where the lion came from.
