CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Missouri State's Adam Leonard gave Bears fans a shooting performance to remember in his final game.
Unfortunately, so did the Miami Hurricanes.
Durand Scott scored 20 points to lead the Hurricanes (21-14) second-half rally, defeating the Bears 81-72 in the second-round of the National Invitational Tournament. The loss ends the Bears (26-9) season.
Leonard scored a game-high 26 points. The Lee's Summit native made 9 of 11 shots, including seven of eight from beyond the three-point line. Missouri Valley Player of the Year Kyle Weems added 18 points for the Bears.
Missouri State shot only 38 percent from the field. Miami shot 50 percent. The Hurricanes outscored the Bears 55-40 in the second-half.
