DOUGLAS COUNTY, Mo — The Douglas County sheriff is investigating whether a shooting technique should have been taught in a firearms course after a man shot and killed himself while trying it.
Glen Seymour, 63, died last Saturday while practicing shooting his pistol with his non-dominant hand during a conceal and carry course.
While trying to work the safety with his non-dominant hand, Seymour accidentally shot himself in the chest.
Investigators said the technique may have been too advanced for beginners.
The investigation is ongoing.
