GETTING A BIT WARMER
It is another cold start to the day with temperatures in the 20s for most of the Ozarks. Winds are fairly light but there is a slight wind chill. Otherwise, we should see some sunshine today and temperatures are expected to be a bit warm than yesterday. Highs look to reach the upper 40s in Missouri to near 50 degrees in Arkansas as winds turn back to the south.

NEXT CHANCE FOR STORMS
The first half of the workweek will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 50s for Monday and Tuesday. We'll be tracking our next upper level storm system that is expected to move into the central U.S. on Tuesday. Thunderstorms look likely across Missouri and Arkansas at that point, especially during the later half of the day, and into the overnight hours.

A surface cold front will move through and allow temperatures once again to fall into the 40s for highs and 20s for a few overnight lows. Surface high pressure will build in behind that front so skies should be mostly sunny on Thursday.

TIME CHANGE NEXT WEEKEND
Temperatures will experience a warm up into Friday when afternoon readings could reach the upper 50s. Next weekend is looking slightly cooler and don't forget about "springing" your clocks forward next Saturday night for Daylight Saving Time.

SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK
This week is severe weather awareness week in the Ozarks. Now is a good time to review you safety plans for the possible occurrences of severe weather. Have an action plan for all the places you spend time during the week, like school, work or if you're out shopping. The National Weather Service will conduct a tornado drill on Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. If thunderstorms remain in the forecast for that day they may reschedule the drill to Thursday. We'll keep you updated.
