SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Let the madness begin.  And it's still February.

It is the make-or-break part of the season when college basketball teams try to burst that bubble to earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.  No team wants to be in a position to have to win the conference tournament.

Missouri State's bubble still exists.  In fact, it grew over the weekend.  The Bears lost a nationally televised ESPN "Bracket Buster" game at Valparaiso Saturday 80-67.

The 20-6 Bears have two remaining games, at Southern Illinois Wednesday night and at home Saturday against Wichita State.  The latter will decide the Missouri Valley Championship.  It's likely its play in in "Arch Madness" in St Louis will decide its post-season fate.

ESPN's Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has the Bears in as the lone Missouri Valley Conference represenative.  They are a no. 13 seed.  Wichita State (22-6) is one of Lunardi's next four teams out of the tournament.

The Missouri Tigers are safely in the tournament.  Lunardi has the Tigers (20-6, 7-5) as a no. 7 seed.  Missouri's schedule to end Big 12 play includes four possible tournament teams.  Missouri has to go on the road at Kansas State and Nebraska.  It plays Baylor and no. 2 Kansas at the Mizzou Arena.
