AUBURN, Ala. - The Alabama-Auburn football rivalry has been taken up a notch.

62-year-old Harvey Updyke Jr. has been arrested, accused of poisoning the historic Toomer's Corner oak trees on the Auburn University campus.

He faces one count of first degree criminal mischief.  He faces up to ten years in prison.

A man claiming to be "Al from Dadeville" phoned in to the "Paul Finebaum Radio Show" late last month, claiming he poured herbicide around the 130-year-old oak trees.  Auburn fans celebrate a football victory by tee-peeing the oak trees at Toomer's Corner.
